Kentaro Ishida studied architecture at the Architectural Association School of Architecture in London. He collaborated with Swiss architectural firm Herzog & de Meuron from 2004-2012. During his collaboration with H&dM he was leading series of international projects as an Associate including Perez Art Museum Miami, Triangle in Paris, and Cultural Complex Luz in Sao Paulo. He established his architectural studio KIAS, Kentaro Ishida Architects Studio in 2012. Alongside his architectural practice he is currently teaching architecture at Tokyo Denki University and Shibaura Institute of Technology in Tokyo. He is appointed as Associate Professor at Tokyo Institute of Technology in 2016.
1973年生まれ。ロンドンのArchitectural Association School of Architecture（AAスクール）にて建築を学び、2004年から12年までスイスの建築設計事務所ヘルツォーク&ド・ムーロンに勤務。同社アソシエイトとしてペレス・アート・ミュージアム・マイアミ（マイアミ現代美術館）、トライアングル超高層計画（パリ）、サンパウロ劇場コンプレックス、40BONDコンドミニアム（ニューヨーク）などのプロジェクト・マネジメント及びリード・デザイナーを務める。
2012年9月 東京に拠点を移し、イシダアーキテクツスタジオ株式会社を設立
